At Eterna, we send transactional SMS messages only when necessary to complete or update a customer’s order (for example, order confirmations, status updates, or requests for missing information such as required photos). We do not send promotional or marketing text messages.
This page explains how customers provide consent to receive these messages during checkout.
How Customers Opt In to SMS Messages
Customers may choose to enter their phone number during checkout when placing an order.
Directly beneath the phone number field, Shopify displays a clear SMS disclosure, which informs the customer that they may receive text messages related to their order.
Shopify generates this disclosure automatically within the secure checkout environment, so the exact checkout URL is session-specific. For that reason, we have provided a screenshot of the opt-in disclosure as it appears to customers.

This disclosure is displayed automatically whenever a customer enters their phone number during checkout.
What Customers Are Consenting To
By providing their phone number during checkout and completing the purchase, customers consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to the fulfillment of their order, including but not limited to:

These messages are strictly non-marketing and are sent only when required to complete or support an existing order.
How Customers Can Opt Out
Customers can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message they receive from us. A customer may re-enable messaging by replying START or UNSTOP.
